The Border Security Force has announced the BSF (Sports Quota) Constable GD Recruitment 2024, providing a great opportunity for male and female sportspersons who have excelled in their respective sports. A total of 275 vacancies are available for the position of Constable (General Duty). This is a Group “C” post, which is non-gazetted and non-ministerial. Candidates select under this recruitment will initially be appoint on a temporary basis, with the possibility of the job becoming permanent later.

Applications are invite from eligible Indian citizen (Male & Female) for filling up 275 vacancies for the Non- Gazetted & Non Ministerial post of Constable (General Duty) in Group “C” on temporary basis likely to be made permanent in Border Security Force against Sports quota as per table at Para 2(a). The posts have All India liability and selected candidate can be post anywhere in India and even abroad. On appointment, the candidate shall be govern by the BSF Act 1968 and BSF Rule 1969. Application from candidate will be accept through ONLINE MODE only. No other mode for submission is allow.

BSF (Sports Quota) Constable GD Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have passed Matriculation (Class 10) or its equivalent from a recognized board.
Should have participated in or won medals in International/National sports events between 31st December 2022 and 30th December 2024 in recognized competitions.

Age Limit

The age limit for applicants is 18 to 23 years as of January 1, 2025. Age relaxations apply for SC/ST (5 years) and OBC (3 years) categories, as per government norms.

Registration Fee

Candidates from the General, OBC, and EWS categories must pay an application fee of Rs. 147.20 through the online portal.

The fee is exempted for female and SC/ST candidates.
The fee, once paid, is non-refundable under any circumstances.

BSF Constable Selection Process

The selection process includes documentation and biometric verification, where candidates’ identity, educational certificates, and sports achievements are verified. This is follow by a Physical Standard Test (PST) to assess the candidates’ physical measurements according to BSF guidelines. A medical examination is conduct to ensure the candidates are medically fit for the role. Finally, a merit list is prepare, shortlisting candidates based on their sports achievements as specified in the recruitment notification.
